Fleetwood Mac is a British-American rock band that was formed in 1967 in London.
The band became increasingly famous in the late 60s when their first album debuted. The British blues boom was occurring and the band was a success.
Ten years after forming the group, their second album “Rumors” remained on the Billboard top 10 albums chart for 31 weeks straight.
Currently the album has sold over 45 million units worldwide, which makes it the fourth top-selling album of all time.
The band has sold 100 million albums worldwide making them one of the best selling bands of all time.
The group has separated, gotten back together a few times (as any great band does). This year, the band announced that Christine McVie rejoined the band after being away from it for 16 years. They plan to tour North America this year.
According to the Fleetwood Mac Official Website, the next concert will be Minneapolis on Sept. 30. and they will continue to tour until the beginning of Dec.

1. Dreams 1977
“Dreams” from their best-selling album “Rumors” is one of the most famous Fleetwood Mac songs. Stevie Nicks has said that she actually wrote the song in about 10 minutes during a time of heavy emotions for the group. It is the only single released by the band to reach number one on the pop singles chart.

2. Don’t Stop 1977
As another song that also reached the top ten pop singles chart, “Don’t Stop,” reflected the McVie separation. Christine McVie wrote the song to release feelings that she had when she and John separated. It also was used as a “theme song” for Bill Clinton. The song reached number three on the charts.

3. Tusk 1979
“Tusk” was a one-of-a-kind song, that’s for sure. The song was recorded live with the USC marching band. The song set a record for the most musicians appearing in a top 40 single. The song reached number eight on the Billboard Top 100.

“Say You Love Me” was written by Christine McVie and went to number 11 on the pop singles chart. The song appeared on the group’s self-titled album “Fleetwood Mac.”

“Landslide” has become an all-time favorite of many. Multiple artists have done their own renditions: Miley Cyrus, the Dixie Chicks. The song has become one of the band’s best loved in-concert songs. The Dixie Chicks’ cover of the song made the pop top ten in 2002.
