Its boy against girls in Las Vegas this weekend! Think Like A Man 2 hits theatres Friday, June 20, 2014. Candice (Regina Hall) and Michael (Terrence Jenkins) are getting married in Vegas. Before they do, they couple is having separate parties with their closets friends in “Sin City”. Cedric (Kevin Hart) is determined to make sure Michael’s bachelor party is better than Candice’s bachelorette party. Will he go to far? You’ll have to find out this weekend. If Cedric doesn’t ruin things for him, hopefully his mother doesn’t. If you recall, Michael is a “Mama’s boy”. This was a problem for Michael and Candice relationship in Think Like a Man.
Monday, June 16, 2014, Kevin Hart promoted the movie at Monday Night Raw. WWE fans gave him a warm welcome as he came down the ramp like a WWE Superstar. After Adam Rose pinned Fandango, Kevin Hart joined him and was carried out of the arena by the rosebuds. Think Like a Man 2 is not the only movie coming out this week.
Jersey Boys is out on June 20th as well. This is a biopic about The Four Seasons. As the title of the movie suggests, these individuals are from New Jersey. They were a popular 60s rock band that overcame their circumstances to gain fame and stardom. The film is directed by Clint Eastwood. This fact alone will bring people out. Eastwood has to deliver to keep sales high. To keep the plot moving, the film is focused on Frankie Valli. As a whole, the group faced adversity and struggles. The film brings these issues to the light. Fortunately, their New Jersey roots help them overcome these challenges. In my opinion, this movie was not promoted as much as it could have been. Hopefully, The Four Seasons popularity will make up for that. They were the voice of a generation. People tend to watch biopics to see if they will live up to their expectations. Hopefully, Clint Eastwood and curiosity will fill seats this weekend.
Sorry boys and girls, both movies are Rated R. Unless you want to go with your parents, you will have to wait till it’s on DVD or On Demand with your local provider. 22 Jump Street and How to Train Your Dragon 2, came out last weekend. Will their popularity interfere with ticket sales? Only time will tell.
