Walmart announced that starting Friday morning, prices will be greatly reduced for both the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c.
According to CNN Money, with a two-year contract, the 16-gigabyte iPhone 5s can be purchased for $99, coming down from $149. And the 16-gigabyte iPhone 5c will cost as low as $29, down from $49.
The permanent price cuts suggest that the retail giant is looking to unload these phones to make room for the long awaited iPhone 6. The current iPhone has been out for long enough and the newcomer is slated to debut soon.
The new phone is rumored to have of a larger screen with an enhanced camera and a curved display.
CNET noted that in addition to cutting iPhone prices, Walmart has also lowered the price of the iPod Touch 16GB fifth generation from $209 to $195.
These deals, however, are not available online and can only be purchased for the lower prices at retail stores.
