After Freddie Prinze Jr.’s surprising comments about Keifer Sutherland this week, his 24 co-stars are coming to his defense.

Prinze Jr. said in an interview with AB News that he took a break from acting because Sutherland was the “most unprofessional dude in the world.”

Sutherland’s rep responded by saying this is the “first he has heard of Freddie's grievances.”

Now, Louis Lombardi, who worked with the actor on 24 as well, is coming to Sutherland’s defense. Lombardi called him a “gentleman” and denied having that kind of experience with him.

"My experience with Kiefer was absolutely the opposite. He was one of the most professional actors I've ever worked with," Lombardi told Us Weekly. "He wanted the best out of everybody. I have nothing but great experiences with him. He's a gentleman."

He went on to say “everyone” he worked with loved him, including the crew. Lombardi also said he’s “baffled” as to why Prinze Jr. would say the comments all these years later.

"Maybe he was jealous, maybe Kiefer did something to him—who knows?" he said.
