Weird Al Yankovic’s dominance of the Billboard 200 album chart was short-lived. The parodist was knocked out of the top spot by a new pop sensation, 5 Seconds of Summer. The group scored one of the biggest openings of the year.

5 Seconds’ self-titled album sold 259,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan data for Billboard. That’s the third-best start of the year, shy of Coldplay’s Ghost Stories, which started with 383,000 earlier this year.

The Australian group also earned the best debut for a group act since Daughtry’s first record sold 304,000 copies in November 2006.

5 Seconds also released an EP called She Looks So Perfect, which sold 143,000 copies in its first week earlier in the year. It reached No. 2. The group has also announced a headlining tour of North America next year.

The No. 2 slot on the chart this week is held by none other than the immortal Forzen soundtrack. It sold another 37,000 copies, marking its 31st straight week in the Top 5.

Last week, Weird Al’s Mandatory Fun sold a surprising 104,000 copies, enough for No. 1 that week. However, like nearly every other No. 1 album this year so far, it stumbled in its second week. The album only sold 33,000 copies.

In The Lonely Hour by Sam Smith climbed to No 4, even though it was down from last week in sales with 31,000. Kidz Bop 26 rounded out the Top 5 with 27,000 copies.

The rest of the Top 10 includes: Common’s Nobody’s Smiling (24,000 copies); Resistence: Rise of the Runaways by Crown the Empire (24,000); Now 50 (21,000); Jason Mraz’s Yes! (20,000); and Ed Sheeran’s X (20,000).

The top song on the Digital Songs chart is Jason Aldean’s “Brunin’ It Down” with 184,000 downloads. “Rude” by MAGIC! fell to No. 2 with 154,000 downloads.
