JK Rowling set the Harry Potter fanbase on fire on Tuesday when she posted an update on Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger’s lives as they attended the Quidditch World Cup Finals.

The story was posted on Pottermore, as well as Today.com and she wrote it as if she was a gossip columnist. However, fans need not get too exicted, as Daniel Radcliffe is dismissing any chance of reprising the role of everyone’s favorite wizard.

The actor, now 24, responded to a reporter who asked if he has read the story and if he had any intention of playing Harry Potter again at a TV critics press tour, Daily News reports.

“It’s not even really a hypothetical question now,” he said, confirming, “I’m inclined to say no” to any offer. He also pointed out that Harry is “about 12 years older than I am now ... So it’s not something I’d have to worry about for a long time, hopefully.”

Radcliffe was at the press tour to promote the second season of A Young Doctor’s Notebook, also starring Jon Hamm.
