Demi Lovato released her new video for single “Really Don’t Care” featuring Cher Lloyd, with her performance filmed on June 8 during the L.A. Pride parade, with swarms of fans, LBGT supporters, and a glimpse at some haters as well.

Starting by showing what is most likely Westboro Baptist Church picketers, with sign’s stating “Homo sex is a sin” and “Jesus saves from Hell”, Demi announces that over the microphone “my Jesus loves all,” just before the beat starts for the song. On a float going down the street, Lovato is quickly surrounded by rainbow-clad fans and supporters. The video mixes her performance with snippets of fans singing along, with a cameo from Perez Hilton as well. Other parts include Lovato and fans in a pink, brightly lit room dancing and singing, where we see Cher Lloyd sing her part also, and then a stage where Blink-182’s Travis Barker drives the beat.

“Really Don’t Care”, of her megahit Neon Lights album, is an infectious dance song, with a hypnotic beat and obvious defiant chorus. It wasn’t until the perceived break-up song, took on a different meaning as Lovato explained in an interview with Refinery 29. Regarding the video she stated, “I had a friend that said, 'What if you do it at Pride?' And, I said, 'That’s amazing. Because what better place to be than at an event where everyone is celebrating that they accept themselves for who they are and don’t give a fuck what other people think?'"

Lovato is headed back out on the road with MKTO and Christina Perri in support, and the second leg of her tour begins on September 6.
