In a recent interview with Esquire Mexico, Mara opened up about her role in the film and that she has never been a fan of comic books. The House of Cards actress has never even read a comic book. Mara will be playing Sue “Invisible Woman” Storm in the upcoming feature film.

“I’ve never been a fan of comics. “I’ve actually never read one. I was going to for this movie but the director said it wasn’t necessary," said Mara.

She went on to explain that the director of the project, Josh Trank told the cast not to read the comic books about the Fantastic Four because the film will not be based on of the history that has already been published about this group of super heroes.

“I understand that there are many fans of Fantastic Four and I guess they expect a lot from me, but I prefer not to be pressured by that. We are also trying to create a new way of seeing these superheroes, I’m focusing on making her as real as possible," said Mara.

The Fantastic Four reboot will be opening in theaters domestically on June 18, 2015, Yahoo reported.
