A father in Florida discovered a trusted next door neighbor sexually abusing his young son and responded by brutally beating the other man.
Once the 18-year-old man was unconscious and his 11-year-old son was safe, the father called 911, letting the dispatcher know that the only weapons involved were "my foot and my fist," The Associated Press reports.
Daytona Beach police Chief Mike Chitwood said that the unidentified 35-year-old responded like any other father would, according to the Daytona Beach News=Journal.
A police spokesman, Jimmie Flynt, has said that the father has not been charged for beating up 18-year-old Raymond Frolander, who lived next door. Chitwood said the man allegedly molested the young boy several times.
"I just walked in on a grown man molesting ...," the father said during the 911 call. "And I got him in a bloody puddle for you officer."
He also told the dispatcher, "I didn't proceed to ask him any questions sir" and noted Frolander likely would need an ambulance after the beatdown.
The boy said Frolander had been sexually abusing him for nearly three years and this time came over and had the 11-year-old sit on his lap before starting to molest him.
