Aviation authorities have said that four people are feared dead after a cargo plane crashed into a building in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi.
According to Agence France-Presse, the crash happened before dawn on Wednesday, a time when the building is expected to be almost empty.
Kenyan authorities said that the Fokker 50 cargo plane hit an electric post before crashing into the building and bursting into flames.
CNN noted that the Kenyan Red Cross reported that one body was recovered from the scene, however, officials believe that all four passengers on board perished in the fiery crash. Rescue crews are continuing their search efforts.
Authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the crash but believe it could have been caused by early morning fog.
The Jomo Kenyatta International Airport was closed for a short period of time on Wednesday, but has since reopened and is now operating as normal.
The cargo plane was in route to Somalia to deliver an herb called khat.
