Fast & Furious 7 star, Vin Diesel, excited singer Sam Smith by doing a cover of his hit single “Stay With Me.”

The burly actor was promoting his film Guardians of the Galaxy when he was asked to cover the song by Capitol FM. Luckily for us, he obliged, and the results are nothing short of spectacular.

He got the stamp of approval from Smith himself, who took to Twitter when the cover was revealed and called it “surreal.”

“Vin diesel just covered Stay With Me. Surreal. Thanks man haha,” he tweeted on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Smith made headlines of his own last month for a cover he did of Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know.” Smith’s version was much more acoustic, cutting down the tempo as well as removing the orchestration that Houston’s version is known for.
