Hilary Duff is back and ready to prove she has what it takes to stay in the music industry, announcing her new single and album release date.

Duff, 26, announced on Wednesday her new single is called “Chasing the Sun.” She also announced she signed a record deal with RCA Records.

In a statement to E! News, she said, "I couldn't be more excited to join the RCA family! I love my team there and feel so lucky to be in the company of their talented artists. I came to them with my vision for the album and it has been a real labor of love, but something I am so proud of."

The new album will come out this fall and “Chasing the Sun” will be available starting July 29. She called the album a “great representation of the experiences I've had in my life and where I want to go from here!"

Duff’s new album will be a follow-up to 2007’s Dignity. Some of her hits include “Come Clean” and “So Yesterday.” Since then, she’s had her first child and announced her separation from husband Mike Comrie.

As we previously reported, Duff worked with people like Ed Sheeran and Colbie Caillat to create new music.
