Hilary Duff has released her new single “Chasing the Sun” for her upcoming album.
The new single comes off Duff’s newest album, which is set to come out this fall. The single has major Colbie Caillat meets Sheryl Crow vibes with a chill message and tune. Colbie Caillat helped write the song, which explains the familiarity. “Chasing the Sun” is very different from Duff’s previous pop music from the early 2000s.
Duff told E! Online a little bit about her new album.
“'Chasing the Sun' is just a peek into my new album," said Duff. "I've worked very hard and the album is a great representation of the experiences I've had in my life and where I want to go from here!"
The singer/actress has not released new music since her 2007 album, Dignity. Duff took time off of her music career when she began her relationship with hockey player Mike Comrie. As we previously reported, Duff and Comrie separated earlier this year after the couple had been married since 2010. They share a two-year-old son, Luca Cruz.
The full song can be heard below. “Chasing the Sun” is now available for purchase on iTunes. The music video for “Chasing the Sun“ is set to come out Tuesday.
