As Iggy Azalea prepares her next single “Black Widow”, Featuring Rita Ora, for download and radio war, Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy”, featuring Charlie XCX, is still fighting off the competition in the top spot for a sixth week.
Billboard reports that as “Fancy” spends a sixth week at the summit of the Billboard Hot 100, it gives the Australian rapper the longest running No.1 single for a female rapper. The second longest running single from a female rapper is Lil Kim whose “Lady Marmalade” collaboration led the charts for five weeks.
She ends her record-tying control of the top two spots as the Ariana Grande-led “Problem” drops to No. 3. After spending five frames with the top two songs, Iggy tied Ashanti with the most weeks in the top two positions by female artist, according to The Music.com.
“Rude” by MAGIC! pushes up to the runner spot this week. At No. 4 are Nico and Wanz’ “Am I Wrong”. The song crowns the Adult Pop Songs as well. Sam Smith rounds out the top 5 with “Stay With Me”, which also crowns digital songs for the first time.
