Jamie Foxx will reportedly take a swing at playing boxer Mike Tyson in an upcoming film.

Tyson told the Daily Mirror that Foxx would be playing him using CGI. This is so that the actor could accurately portray Tyson at 20, when he became the world heavyweight champion.

If Tyson’s testimony isn’t enough, Variety has independently claimed that Foxx will play Tyson. The Wolf of Wall Street’s Terence Winter is set to write while Rick Yorn, Foxx’s manager, will be producing. The Wrap reported that Tyson said Martin Scorsese will be involved, but this has yet to be confirmed.

This isn’t the first time Foxx has been in a boxing-focused film. He played opposite Will Smith’s Muhammad Ali’s as coach Drew Bundini Brown in 2001’s Ali. Foxx will supposedly be training with Tyson before stepping into the ring.

Foxx was recently seen as Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. His next slated film is the Annie remake, which hits theaters on Dec. 19 this year.
