Starting in September, musician Jason Mraz will perform in all five boroughs of New York as part of the tour promoting his new album Yes!.

Only David Bowie and The Beastie Boys have done this sort of concert series before as reported by USA Today. Jason Mraz, known for his songs “I Won’t Give Up” and “I’m Yours” just released his new album Yes! on July 15 and is excited for this upcoming opportunity, as the musician attended college in New York.

In an interview the Associated Press reports Jason Mraz saying that, “I left New York City and I said, 'One of these days I'm going to come back with some songs and with a great show and with a great act.' And I've done that many times, but this feels like a real homecoming for me."

Mraz’s tour of the five boroughs will start with a performance at the Brooklyn Center for Performing Arts on Sept 17 and performances the next three days at the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts in the Bronx, the Queens College’s Colden Museum Kupferberg Center for the Arts and St. George’s Theatre on Staten Island. The tour will end on Sept 22 and 23 with performances in Manhattan at Radio City Music Hall.

The presale of fan tickets for the New York City shows are available on July 16 as reported on Jason Mraz’s website.
