The Global Citizen Festival is making strides, as the third annual concert series will take place on the Great Lawn’s in Central Park on September 27th.
Feature performances include Jay Z, No Doubt, fun., Tiesto, Carrie Underwood and more in this spectacular event that takes place on the same date as the United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York. The event will be free admission once again via the events website where after signing petitions and emailing world leaders people can earn their admission reports the Hollywood Reporter. The goal is to help decrease extreme poverty in the world by 2030.
This years festival will focus specifically on the extreme poverty of children and young people around the world. USA Today tells there are 48,000 general admission tickets up for grabs. Just last month Tiesto headlined the Global Citizens kickoff Thank You Festival and the Global Citizen Nights concert series started back in March with performers including The Fray and Allan Stone.
