Jenny McCarthy has some skeletons in her closet she is trying to air out as her time on The View comes to an end.
During an episode on July 22nd, McCarthy made a joke regarding Hilary Clinton’s sexuality before later realizing the nature of her words. McCarthy posted a blog post of her own titled “Anti-Gossip Girl” where the 41-year-old wrote, “Something happened last week that made me wake up and consider how I should be more mindful of my jokes. It's one thing to say something 'funny,' but then to turn around and be a hypocrite is another thing.”
Us Weekly reports McCarthy made the comment after discussing a claim where former President Bill Clinton had a “mistress” the Secret Service had nicknamed, “Energizer.”
“Well, maybe he has his girlfriends, and she has her girlfriends. You never know. Maybe they have an arrangement,” had said McCarthy at the time but now regrets her comment immensely. Later on in the show she made a comment about female empowerment, which then caused her to realize the error of her ways.
In her post she stated, “It makes me sad when I see women ripping on other women, and there I was making a joke about our possible first female president!" In the future she hopes people will view her as an example of female empowerment.
As we reported earlier, McCarthy has plans to host a radio show on SiriusXM following her departure from the show.
