Although high-wire artist Philippe Petit has already been seen on the big screen in the Academy Award-winning documentary Man on Wire, it appears that he will soon be seen again, if not himself personally this time. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, rather, will be playing the man, and he has revealed the first official look at his character on his Facebook page.

Based on Petit's memoir To Reach the Clouds, filming has begun on the upcoming Robert Zemeckis 3D movie. The Facebook picture showcases both Levitt and actress Charlotte Le Bon, in what can only be assumed is the green screen area where they are recreating the World Trade Center, which serves as the narrative centerpiece for the movie.

In addition to this being the first look at anything from the movie, this is also the first time the title of the movie has been revealed to the public. Although the movie was untitled before this, most publications have been calling the movie To Reach the Clouds before this announcement.

Also, as Collider notes, the picture has been shared by Le Bon's Twitter and Petit has shared the image on his own Facebook page, also revealing that filming is, indeed, happening in Montreal.

Also starring Ben Kinsley and James Badge Dale, the movie, like Man on Wire, will chronicle the 1974 "artistic crime of the century" that saw Petit and his crew sneaking on top of the World Trade Center and Petit himself walking across the two towers on just a tightrope. This will be the first time Petit will be portrayed in a fully narrative feature film.

The Walk is set to hit theaters on October 2, 2015. Before that, however, Levitt will be seen in theaters in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For on August 22.
