Marvel Entertainment has announced another mystery movie for 2018. This is the sixth mystery movie announced in less than a week.
Today’s news, coming just hours before the San Diego Comic-Con begins on Thursday, came in the form of a Twitter. The Disney-owned studio announced that another movie will be out on May 4, 2018.
Marvel announced Friday night that it has staked out five other dates between 2017 and 2019. The 2017 movies will be out on July 28 and Nov. 3, while the previously announced 2018 movies will be out on July 6 and Nov. 2. The 2019 movie will be out on May 2 that year. For the record, it is the first Hollywood project scheduled for 2019.
The new date comes just hours after Robert Downey Jr. pretty much admitted that he would be crazy not to do a fourth Iron Man movie. While nothing has been confirmed on that front, considering the success of Iron Man 3, Marvel would be crazy to not do Iron Man 4, too.
It is widely assumed that at least one of the six mystery movies will be a third Avengers film. In addition, one of them should be Doctor Strange. A third Captain America is already scheduled for 2016 and a third Thor should happen as well. Ant-Man is also scheduled for 2016.
