Michael Buble was a true professional on Sunday night, following through with a performance in Milwaukee, Wisconsin after receiving the devastating news that his grandmother had passed away.

Buble, 38, told concert-goers at the end of his set that it was "one of the hardest days of my life."

During the concert, he told fans that what gave him the perseverance to get through was knowing his grandmother would want him to.

"I didn't know what to do. But I know what my grandmother would want," he said, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports. "I know she wouldn't want me to cancel. She'd want me to come out and do the show and smile and do what she supported me doing."

The singer dedicated the song “I Wish You Love” to his grandmother, who he said “raised me like a mom,” which was her favorite song.

He took to his Twitter page on Monday to post a photo of himself with her, writing “I will always miss you Grandma. #family.”
