The Cleveland Cavaliers added a three-point shooter in free agent Mike Miller on Tuesday. Miller, 34, signed a two-year deal worth $5.5 million, turning down extra dollars from Houston and Denver.

Miller averaged 7.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game last season with the Memphis Grizzlies. He shot 48.1 percent from the field and 45.9 percent shooting from behind the three-point line. It was the first time he played all 82 games in a season since his rookie year (2000-01) with the Orlando Magic according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo sports.
Miller is known for consistency from three-point range throughout his career. He is one of the more reliable three-point shooters in the NBA. He was on the Miami Heat when they won championship titles in 2012 and 2013.
At the peak of his career Miller scored 18.5 points per game for the Grizzlies in the 2006-07 season. Though he doesn’t have the same ability to create his own shot off the dribble, he still can be a deadly threat from behind the arc.
Entering his 15th NBA season, Miller brings veteran leadership to the locker room and versatility to the young Cavaliers lineup.
