A teenage girl who went missing in Washington state left behind a chilling note for her loved ones.
According to KGW, Angelic Dean’s parents said that they believe their daughter, who left a disturbing message behind in journal, has become a victim of sex trafficking.
“If you’re reading this, I’m either missing or dead,” the handwritten message said.
The Camas-Washougal Post-Record reported that the 17-year-old, who goes by “Anji,” also made other dismaying statements in her journal and wrote messages to her siblings.
Before Dean went missing she was alleged to have made comments to staffers at her high school about how she had gotten herself into something that she couldn’t get out of. And in one startling text to her boyfriend, she said that someone was threating her life and the lives of her family members.
Police are looking to speak with an African-American male between 25-35 years of age, who a neighbor spotted in front of the teen’s home on June 23, the day she disappeared.
Dean was last seen wearing black yoga tights, white Nike shoes and a black tank top. Anyone with information on her whereabouts or the person police would like to question is asked to contact authorities.
