The film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes may have hit a bit closer to home for two special moviegoers. Why? The moviegoers in question were apes, chimps to be exact.

Chimpanzees Vali and Sugriva from the Myrtle Beach Safari attended the film screening in Myrtle Beach, S.C.. Despite their reputation as primates, the chimps behaved exactly like human theater visitors. ABC News captured the cinematic adventure on film.

According to The Daily Mail, some human moviegoers were worried about whether or not the chimps should be watching the movie due to it being about apes taking over the world.

“A couple of people said very clearly "are you sure they should watch this movie, won't they learn to take over the world? 'There were several people actually concerned about that, said Myrtle Beach Safari Director Dr. Bhagavan Antle, according to The Daily Mail.
But it appears that there is nothing to worry about, as the two primates were perfectly respectful at the movie theater. The chimps paid for their own tickets, popcorn and juice and sat and watched the movie. The chimps were also responsive to the action in the movie turning away during scarier parts, barking at bad guys and applauding the triumph of the good guys.
