An upcoming Beatles documentary is about to be released and it will be directed by Ron Howard, an Oscar-winning filmmaker. The documentary focus will be on the band's touring years from their days in Liverpool, England, to Hamburg, Germany and finally at Candlestick Part in San Francisco during the year 1966.

According to The Beatles, the authorized documentary for Apple will be produced by Apple Corps Ltd., White Horse Pictures and Imagine Entertainment.
Howard will produce this documentary with the full cooperation of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono Lennon and Olivia Harrison. Along with Howard, the other producers would include Brian Grazer of Imagine Entertainment, Scott Pascucci and Grammy Award-winner Nigel Sinclair. The executive producers for the documentary will be White Horse’s Guy East and Michael Rosenberg.

According to L.A. Times, Howard said, "I am excited and honored to be working with Apple and the White Horse team on this astounding story of these four young men who stormed the world in 1964. Their impact on popular culture and the human experience cannot be exaggerated."

The upcoming documentary will be the first Beatles theatrical film since the 1970's Let it Be. The release date is set to late 2015.
