Grammy Award winning musician Paul Horn passed away at the age of 84 on June 29 in Vancouver, Canada.
Horn, who performed with the likes of Frank Sinatra and Miles Davis died after a brief illness, The Guardian reports. "He passed away very peacefully and did not suffer," Marlen, Horn's son, said. "He wasn't in any pain."
He was nominated for five Grammys, winning two for Jazz Suite on the Mass Texts in 1966. During his musical career, Horn would go on to release 50 albums in total. In addition to playing with Davis and Sinatra, he also toured and recorded with other big names, including Nat King Cole and Duke Ellington.
