Radio head will begin working on a new studio album this September.
Guitarist Jonny Greenwood confirmed the news of the band's new upcoming project to Mary Anne Hobbes' BBC 6 Music Show on July 12.
When asked for an update on Radiohed, Jonny Greenwood said, "We're going to start up in September, playing, rehearsing and recording and see how it's sounding."
According to NME, what Greenwood had to say was in agreement with what he stated over the summer in several interviews when discussing the band and a new album. He referred to the band as a “slow moving animal,” which would be getting back to work in the upcoming months.
Since finishing the tour for their last album The King of Limbs, band members have taken on solo projects while Radiohead duties were paused. Earlier in the year, Jonny's brother, Colin Greenwood, mentioned that plans for a new Radiohead album were still uncertain, as everyone was focusing on other projects at the time.
