There are many famous celebrities in Forbes list of highest paid actors. Robert Downey Junior is top of the list earning about $75 million for his appearance in the Marvel series such as Iron Man and The Avengers. Others include Dwayne Johnson earning $52 million, Bradley Cooper earning $46 million, Leonardo DiCaprio earning $39 million, and many more celebrities.
According to Forbes, Marvel was accused of being a miser when it comes to paying celebrities in the blockbuster superhero films. Ever since Disney acquired Marvel, the studio has been very generous to Downey. That makes him the reason why he is on the top of the Forbes' list. Majority of Downey's income is from the movie Iron Man 3, which became 2013's highest-grossing film, earning $1.2 billion in the box office.
AJC noted that the films of Marvel have overall earned $4 billion globally.
Johnson earned majority from his appearances in G.I. Joe and Fast and Furious; Cooper gained popularity for his appearances in The Hangover films, American Hustle and Silver Linings Playbook; whereas DiCaprio gained popularity for his appearance in The Wolf of Wall street and The Great Gatsby.
