Robert Pattinson is opening up about his ex-girlfriend and Twilight Saga co-star, Kristen Stewart’s memorable public affair with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders in 2012, while he was still married to model Liberty Ross.
Pattinson has stayed mum about the cheating scandal, which saw photos being published of Stewart and Sanders kissing in a car, until now.
He told Esquire he really isn’t affected by it, but the worst part was dealing with the aftermath.
“S**t happens, you know?” he laughed. “It’s just young people… it’s normal! And honestly, who gives a s**t?”
He continued, “The hardest part was talking about it afterwards. Because when you talk about other people, it affects them in ways you can’t predict.”
He went on to reference a scene from Doubt, when Philip Seymour Hoffman is talks about how to “take back gossip,” adding, “They throw all those feathers from a pillow into the sky and you’ve got to go and collect all the feathers.”
