Two people were seriously injured in skydiving accident just outside of Philadelphia on Tuesday morning.

According to WPVI, Bucks County emergency dispatchers responded to the scene of the accident in Perkasie around 11 a.m., where two people were reportedly tandem skydiving.

Authorities said the pair went down in a field near an elementary school, but no further details about the accident were released.

The severity of their injuries are unclear at this time but both victims were airlifted to separate hospitals for treatment. Their condition there is also unknown.

Officials have not yet announced the cause of the accident as it remains under investigation.

The Montgomeryville-Lansdale Patch noted that last year, another skydiving accident occurred in the same area sending one person to the hospital after they suffered multiple fractures. And in 2012, a parachutist out of the town's airport was injured while doing acrobatics before landing and flown to the hospital.

Perkasie is a small borough located about 35 miles north of Philadelphia with just over 8,500 residents calling it home.
