Have you ever wondered what a fireworks display would look like close up? With advancing technology, you don’t need to look any further. Robert Hartline, a Tennessee entrepreneur, took a risk in strapping a GoPro to a drone and flying it through his local firework show, capturing the incredible show at a unique angle.

Although a similar video was posted in May to Jos Stiglingh’s YouTube account, the timing of Hartline’s video proves to be much more meaningful due to it being filmed on the 4th of July.

The video allows for viewers to have a unique close-up sight of the explosions. Hartline maneuvers the drone to provide spectacular views as the fireworks launch, explode, and fall into the water below.

Sadly, the device reportedly died before it was able to capture the display’s finale, says Yahoo! News. However, Hartline’s video is able to provide viewers with a symbolic remembrance to the true meaning of Independence Day in the midst of the celebrations.
