Maria Zhang, a high ranking Yahoo executive, was accused of forcing her superior to have sex in exchange for a job at Yahoo.
Nan Shi, the superior, said Zhang promised her a “bright future at Yahoo” if she agreed to have sex with her, reported the San Jose Mercury News.
Shi alleged was forced to have oral and digital sex with Zhang on multiple occasions.
“There is absolutely no basis or truth to the allegations against Maria Zhang. Maria is an exemplary Yahoo executive, and we intend to fight vigorously to clear her name,” a Yahoo spokesperson said.
Shi, however, stands by her allegations.
“I was in a deep sleep one morning, sleeping on the sofa because she had taken my bed, when she came in without clothes on, crawled into my blanket, and woke me up, hugging me, kissing my face and neck,” Shi said in an interview on Friday.
According to Reuters, Zhang founded a mobile company which was bought by Yahoo in 2013. She also worked for Microsoft before joining Yahoo.
The complaint was not handled the way Shi thought it would.
She was put on unpaid leave and fire from her position.
In the lawsuit, Shi is suing for sexual-harassment, intentional infliction of emotional distress and wrongful termination.
