Activision has done it again with "The Amazing Spiderman 2" video game; this game is truly awesome! This action packed game is rated "T" for Teen and came out this past April. It is available for various gaming systems: Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and Windows PC.
If you own the first ASM game you will find this game builds on the original story but with really great web enhancements (check out the web shooting ability). There basis follows a story line where Spider-Man battles a large threat to New York City that has turned the world upside down. A creative narrative from Peter Parker follows you through the entire experience as he investigates your every move and all the personalities Spider-Man encounters. Villains include your favorite classic Marvel characters as well as new bad guys from the film. One feature my son absolutely loved was the games "Hero System" in which Spider-Man receives rewards for stopping crime and tracking down the villains but also can be subject to consequences if the crime rate does not stay down. I was blown away watching the web-shooting abilities this game holds - you can blow things up and freeze them instantly. Spidey also has a new and enhanced wardrobe complete with perks, upgrades and combat abilities.
The Amazing Spider Man 2 is a game all Marvel enthusiasts should check out; super cool enhancements and in the words of my son "awesome awesome awesome". Oh, and awesome.
