Based on the creator of the show, Larry David, George Costanza is a short, stocky, slow-witted, bald man. He is played by American actor Jason Alexander throughout the nine season of the hit sitcom Seinfeld (1989-1998). In the show the character is high school friends with Jerry Seinfeld and they have remained friends as they reached adulthood. George would appear in all but one of the 180 episodes. The only episode he would not make an appearance in is the third episode of season three entitled The Pen.

George’s character is known for being cheap, self-obsessed and having bad luck with women. When he finally finds a woman who will marry him, she dies from licking too many envelopes for their wedding letters. Licking a large amount of the cheap adhesive poisoned her. That one scenario perfectly describes the character and his luck.

Most of his jokes are targeted at himself because he is simply supposed to be a pathetic person. With that all said, here are his top ten moments on Seinfeld.
