Back in 1986 a group of guys came together at the University of South Carolina and formed the band Hootie & The Blowfish. The group was comprised of Darius Rucker, Mark Bryan, Dean Felber, and Jim Sonefeld. Rucker as many music fans now know has become a big name in the country music industry.

It was clear that Rucker had an incredible range of vocal talent when he was the front man for Hootie & The Blowfish and the group discovered a huge fan following. With hits like “Only Lonely” and “Let Her Cry” the band has audiences singing along even now when their hits are played on the radio.
Rucker took over the country music industry when he released his cover of “Wagon Wheel,” originally by Old Crow Medicine Show. Having Rucker be introduced to a new audience and younger fans has helped them go back and discover the greats of Hootie & The Blowfish.
