Although hope was dwindling, it appears that the battle cry of #SixSeasonsandaMovie will be living on, thanks to Yahoo. The site has picked up the cult favorite show for its sixth and likely final season.

The news was revealed by Yahoo themselves, who tweeted the following banner earlier today:

The deal with Yahoo allows for the site to stream 13 new episodes of the show. Harmon is returning as the showrunner, and had the following to say about the show's revival.

"I am very pleased that Community will be returning for its predestined sixth season on Yahoo," Harmon said. "I look forward to bringing our beloved NBC sitcom to a larger audience by moving it online. I vow to dominate our new competition. Rest easy, Big Bang Theory. Look out, Bang Bus!"

Since today was the last day that the actors were under contract with Sony Pictures Television, this news didn't come a minute too soon. Prospects of a six season—or any future for the show—looked dim after Hulu decided not to pick up the show after its cancellation from NBC.

In fact, show creator Dan Harmon himself looked quite beaten down earlier today that seemed to imply that the show was coming to a close for good:

But, alas, the show is coming back. Additionally, according to Vulture, the show should still contain roughly the same budget that it had before.

Of course, this does not mean that the movie is also official at this time, and the list of actors coming back is not official at this time. But, hey, some new Community is better than no Community. Unless, of course, it's from season four.
