Bryan Singer, famed director of X-Men is currently being investigated by the New York Police Department for an incident that occurred last year.
A criminal complaint was filed against the 48-year-old director Friday, accusing Singer of sexually assaulting a young man in his 20s last year. The complaint was filed with the NYPD in May according to Fox News . The incident allegedly occurred in March of 2013, where the young man, who has not yet been named, accused the director of forcing him to perform sexual acts against his will.
“No charges had been filed against Singer as of Friday, but an investigation into the claim is ongoing” a law enforcement official said according to TV Week
News of this investigation comes soon after two previous sexual assault claims were dropped against Singer. One of the men claimed that Singer drugged him and sexually assaulted him when he was 17, that case was dropped last month. In a separate case, Michael Egan accused the director of sexual assault in Hawaii when Egan was 17. He dropped that case recently, reportedly because he was unable to find legal representation.
