After having such a good time putting celebrities through tests in the wilderness this summer, Bear Grylls’ next project puts everyday people to the test. Grylls is returning to Discovery Channel for a new series called Bear Grylls: Breaking Point.

The concept sounds similar to his summer NBC show Running Wild, which featured Channing Tatum, Ben Stiller, Zac Efron and other Hollywood names.

However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, this time, Grylls will grill normal people through wilderness challenges. These will be specifically tailored to their fears. After Grylls helps them, he sets them loose in the wild for 24 hours with him and they will have to survive.

Production on Breaking Point will kick off in the coming weeks. Like Grylls’ past Discovery projects, the company will bring it worldwide and it will air early next year. Six episodes will be produced.

Grylls and Discovery are clearly putting those rough memories from two years ago, when the network cancelled Man vs. Wild, behind them. After another short NBC series, Grylls headlined Discovery’s Ultimate Survivor miniseries and did another special called Escape from Hell.

Running Wild’s last episode airs on Sept. 1 and features NBC News anchor Tamron Hall.
