Whoever was in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Thursday night was in for a treat, as Blake Shelton gave a free concert near The Pier at Caesars.

Over 60,000 fans enjoyed the free show, which was produced by Live Nation and The Atlantic City Alliance and its "Do AC" promotional campaign.

According to The AP, Shelton’s show is just one of three attempts to attract people to the area. Lady Antebellum will take the stage next for a free concert on Sunday.

NBC 40 notes it was the busiest day of the year on Thursday ahead of Shelton’s free show, as even if fans didn’t have a ticket they could still hear him from the Boardwalk and the beach.

“You get the same experience there's video screens by the bar and you get the same experience without waiting in line so it's a good spot,” said one of the patrons, Mandy Laird.

Atlantic City Mayor Don Guardian said, “This is the future of Atlantic City, it's what we wanted.”
