The Chairless Chair is a new wearable device that is pretty self-explanatory: it allows you to sit down anywhere without a chair.
You can walk or run normally with the contraption secured along each leg, and then when you want to sit down, you assume the sitting position and press a button that locks the “chair” into place.
Twenty-nine year old Keith Gunura is the CEO and co-founder of noonee, the startup company that developed this new gadget. Noone is based in Zurich, Switzerland.
“Imagine if you had one of these while you were riding on a crowded train: it would make for a much more comfortable commute,” Gunura said, as reported by CNN. He explained that the Chairless Chair will be extremely useful to “people behind the counter in retail, farmers picking fruit and even surgeons in the operating room.”
Creators of the Chairless Chair stated on the official website of noone their belief that by providing employees with comfort, the device will increase productivity.
