Tony winner Christian Borle has been tapped to play both Mr. Darling and Smee in the upcoming Peter Pan Live on NBC.
According to Deadline, who first reported the casting, Borle is currently finalizing the deal, making him the only cast member, so far, that also appeared on NBC's last live musical production, The Sound of Music.
Borle won a Tony for his role as the pirate Black Stache, who eventually become Captain Hook, in Peter and The Starcatcher. He has also been nominated for Best Performance by a Featured Actor for Legally Blonde. Borle is currently recurring on the hit Showtime series Masters of Sex.
The Broadway actor will join Christopher Walken, who was cast in mid-July for the role of Captain Hook. The role gives Walken an opportunity to return to musicals, which is where he started.
Allison Williams (Girls) was more recently added to the cast as the title character. "It's such an honor to be part of this adventure, and I'm very excited to get to work with this extraordinarily talented team," Williams said in a statement.
"And besides," she added, "what could go wrong in a live televised production with simultaneous flying, sword fighting and singing?"
Peter Pan Live will air on NBC Dec. 4.
