Did Taylor Swift and John Mayer run into each other at Chateau Marmont?

Exes Taylor Swift and John Mayer were in the same place at the same time on Wednesday night but they did not run into each other.

The “Shake It Off” singer and Mayer, who famously dated back in 2009, were both at Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont. Onlookers say they arrived separately at the same time.

Swift’s rep denies she saw him at all, telling E! News, "Taylor was with Lily Aldridge and never saw Mr. Mayer at Chateau Marmont."

Swift wrote the song “Dear John” about Mayer after their split, singing lyrics like, “Don't you think nineteen's too young/To be played/By your dark, twisted games.”

In response, Mayer wrote the song “Paper Doll” about her a year later. He also told Rolling Stone in 2012 the song “really humiliated me” and called it “cheap songwriting.”

Mayer most recentlt dated Katy Perry and Swift hasn’t dated anyone in recent years, recently telling Fusion she isn’t “enamored by romance” anymore.
