Diem Brown, known for roles in reality shows such as MTV’s The Challenge, has been diagnosed with colon cancer.

The 32-year-old starlet’s cancer was discovered after she collapsed while recording a new reality show according to People. After being rushed to the hospital, Brown went into surgery to remove a tumor that was in her colon in an emergency procedure. Though that tumor was successfully removed, there are still other tumors remaining, and Brown had to have another emergency surgery due to an infection in her abdomen.

Brown first became well-known for her role in MTV’s Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat as reported by E! Online. In 2003, the reality star was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and the cancer reoccurred in 2012. During the course of her fight with ovarian cancer, Brown had an ovary, lymph nodes and part of her fallopian tube removed.

Speaking to E! News through her sister Megan, Brown stated about this fight with cancer has been, “Both mentally, physically and emotionally the most traumatic. I've been needing some hope to fight for, some light to look forward to at the end of this journey. I find that strength in my family, friends and fans. People I've never met believe in me, I can't let them down! I won't."

Brown is currently in the ICU at a New York hospital and is expected to be released in about two weeks.
