Authorities reported that a drunk man stabbed three people at New York City’s Grand Central Terminal early Saturday morning.
According to Reuters, the assailant, Ivan DeLeon of Queens, allegedly stabbed three other men as he exited a train after a dispute about bumping into a child.
Police said that just after 12 a.m. the argument escalated and the intoxicated straphanger allegedly pulled a knife out and stabbed the victims in chest, arm, and stomach.
WABC reported that the victims included a 36-year-old, a 29-year-old and a 27-year-old. The 36-year-old was listed as critically wounded, but in stable condition. The other two men were also being treated at a local hospital, but did not suffer life threatening injuries.
Thankfully, the child that the altercation was over was not harmed during the incident.
The 38-year-old DeLeon was arrested and charged with assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
So far, the New York City Police Department has not released the names of the stabbing victims.
