Enlisted won't be returning for a second season as Yahoo has decided not to revive the Fox comedy after all.
As previously reported, Yahoo was in talks back in July with 20th Century Fox Television to bring the critically popular, but low-rated series to Yahoo Screen.
Enlisted struggled to find an audience, which was made doubly difficult when it was exiled to Friday nights. The series averaged a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic from live same day ratings, but the comedy was boosted by DVR numbers, driving it up to a slightly better 1.2 rating.
With Yahoo saving Community for a sixth season there was some hope that the comedy series about three brothers serving in the Rear Detachment Unit would return. Well now that hope is officially gone.
TVLine is reporting that Yahoo has decided to end talks with 20th Century Fox TV, leaving Enlisted officially dead. At the moment no other interested parties have stepped forward to save the comedy.
