Fredrik Bond has been chosen to direct the Olympus Has Fallen sequel London Has Fallen.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Charlie Countryman director's hiring comes just a couple short months before the studio is looking to begin production. The latest draft of the script was written by Christian Gudegast.

He made his feature film directorial debut with the largely ignored Shia LaBeouf film and before that directed music videos. He nearly snagged the director's chair for the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman and Aaron Eckhart are on board to return to the sequel to the somewhat successful first film about saving the president.
The $70 million film earned $161 million worldwide at the box office.

Angela Bassett and Radha Mitchell will also return for a second go round in the series.

London Has Fallen will follow the main three attending the funeral of the British prime minister when they discover there is a plot for another attack.

Butler will also produce, alongside Matt O'Toole, Mark Gill and Alan Siegel.
