A GoFundMe campaign in support of Ferguson, Missouri police officer Darren Wilson has raised more money than a campaign to support the unarmed black teen he shot, Michael Brown.

Since Aug. 17, the Support Officer Darren Wilson campaign has raised $234,990 from 5,901 donors. However, a campaign that has been raising money for Brown’s family since Aug. 13 is only up to $164,485 from 5,970 donors.

The authors of the Wilson campaign say that they are trying to raise money for his family to cover legal expenses and should the family have to move.

“The funds collected through GoFundMe and through TeeSpring along with our fundraisers on the ground will be going directly to Officer Darren Wilson through the non-profit Shield of Hope,” the page reads. “These funds will be used to cover potential legal fees, relocation and living expenses of both Officer Darren Wilson and his immediate family.”

As NBC News notes, many of the fund’s donors left offensive comments. GoFundMe did sent out a tweet Friday morning, explaining that some of the comments were removed. In fact, it looks like most previous comments were deleted. However, the site does still list how much individual donors donated. People have donated anywhere from $5 to $500.

The person who created the fund for Brown wrote that, “These funds will assist his family with costs that they will acquire as they seek justice on Michael’s behalf. These funds will not be used for legal fees; all funds will be given to the family of Michael Brown. We appreciate your support.”

Meanwhile, people in Ferguson are still angry over the situation. They are now calling for a new prosecutor to investigate the case on the local level, but Gov. Jay Nixon said he has no plans to do that, notes The Wall Street Journal. The case is being investigated by St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch.
