While Jennifer Lawrence starring in a Quentin Tarantino movie sounds cooler beyond reason, we will have to wait awhile for it to become a reality. The Hunger Games star is not going to be in Hateful Eight, despite how badly we want it.

Yesterday, Collider ran a splashy story about Lawrence being in serious talks for a part in the film, which is supposed to be coming out next year. Considering her packed schedule - which includes filming remaining scenes for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 and the next X-Men movie - there was good reason to be sceptical about it working out.

But The Huffington Post notes that TheWrap’s Jeff Sneider debunked the rumor. A rep for the actress told him that she’s not doing it.

The first teaser for The Hateful Eight debuted in theaters Thursday night with Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, but it features no footage. TheWrap also notes that it doesn’t even list members of the cast, just the names of the eight characters trapped in a blizzard after the Civil War. “See It In Glorious 70mm Super Cinemascope,” the teaser says at the end.

A poster was released last month and also didn’t confirm any actors for the film. Bruce Dern, Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Madsen were among the actors who participated in a live read of the script and might be in the final film.

Lawrence is also attached to a new David O. Russell project.
