Lena Fayre’s album “Oko” is out now and the album contains music that speaks to the soul through hauntingly beautiful melodies and lyrical content that capture the musical talent of the artist.

At 18-years-old, Fayre has proven herself to be an accomplished artist with this album. She was featured in Rolling Stone magazine in a piece about new artists earlier this year. Fayre released her self-titled EP last year to rave reviews and with her newest album, it’s clear she has a story to tell.

Beginning with “I Am Not A Man,” you instantly hear the beautiful, soulful and haunting vocals, and it encompasses the range and rhythm that is prominent through the album. The next song is “The Tiger’s Bride,” and it was one of my favorite tracks on the album, with an upbeat rhythm blending skillfully with the vocals.

With such a beautiful voice, Fayre put together an album that encompasses her talent, as well as the classic pop sound that she puts her own spin on. The music and instrumentation blend perfectly with the theme of each song, and the tracks all display the heart and soul Fayre put into her work.

Some favorites on the album include “The Tiger’s Bride,” “Gold Standard King,” and “Ophelia.”
