Lifetime has released the first official trailer for the controversial and eagerly anticipated The Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story.
While the trailer is only a 30-second teaser, we still get a glimpse of what it was supposedly like to work on the 80s teen sitcom, Saved By The Bell. Gossip Cop reports the unauthorized biopic takes a look at what it was like to work behind the scenes on SBB, which starred Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez, Dustin Diamond, Lark Voorhies, Elizabeth Berkley and Tiffani Thiessen.
The film is based on Dustin Diamond’s iffy memoir, Behind the Bell. Both the book and movie paint the cast in an unflattering light, which is most likely Lifetime’s biggest marketing point—nobody can resist a bit of juicy behind-the-scenes drama. While people have been questioning the validity of Diamond’s anecdotes since the book was released in 2009, Lifetime still jumped on the opportunity to make the flick.
Lifetime has also recently released a teaser clip featuring a mock photo-shoot.
The film will premiere on Lifetime on September 1, 2014. Will you be tuning in to check out The Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story?
